Welcome to the "Humming Belles" Blog!
Happy Anniversary! I send you lots of love and one BIG HUG!!! I love this painting you did last year! So precious! Makes me smile ;o)
I forgot to say, as the old saying goes, rain on the bride is good luck ;o)
Now this is my kind of world! And many congratulations on a glorious life together :D XXX
My friend, did I not post a comment on this post?? I was for sure I did ;o) If it got lost, I wished you a happy 44 years and I said, it is good luck for the bride to be rained on ;o) Hugs ;o) Oh, I love this aceo! Makes me smile ;o)
Stacy, you did comment ... I just forgot to hit the post button! Thought I had, but when I checked ... whoops! I hadn't ....Shortly after we were married I had a woman say "I'm so sorry, married in rain is married in vain..." Another woman stated that since Jim and I are both capricorns, our marriage didn't stand a chance ....Funny thing is ... in our family (including our parents) have all married like signed spouses ... and out of six ... four are strong and enduring marriages.Guess old sayings aren't always true...I like your rain saying better than mine!
Gina, thank you for stopping by! Wouldn't it be fun to live in a world such as this?
Karen Anne, I have never heard of those sayings!! I was brought up with my mom always saying, rain on the bride is good luck ;o) I wonder where those other sayings came from? Maybe those people were jealous!!!! ;o)
Or maybe just superstitious? I wonder what they say about fainting brides? Would you believe, I fainted at the altar right after we said our "I do's"?When I awoke I saw a beautiful misty white face looking at me with concern and I asked "Are you an angel, am I in Heaven?" ... It was a friend and she said, "No to both ... you are at your wedding". Then I saw the priest and asked of him "Do we have to do this all over again?" ... He laughed and said, "You are officially married Karen ... if you can walk back down the aisle with your new husband, that is all that is left ... we don't need a repeat performance!"And thus began my life of surprising twists and turns and adventures with Jim.
Karen Anne, that is too funny!!! What a way to start your life together ;o)
I know! I can honestly say, life with Jim is NEVER dull!
