Day 27 Face

I was extremely busy this past weekend and was not able to complete faces for days 25 and 26.  But today I finally made time to sit down a draw a face for Day 27!  Yeay!

I recently stumbled upon a YouTube video by J.D.Hillberry and I was so impressed with the video and enthralled by his techniques I ended up purchasing a book he has written titled "Drawing Realistic Textures in Pencil".  In the book he has included several tutorials on various techniques he has developed over the years.

For my Day 27 Face I followed his step by step instructions on how the draw a baby's face.  Now my drawing didn't turn out nearly as well as his, but I am happy never the less and delighted to be learning what he is so willing to teach and share.

If you are interested in learning his wonderful techniques, be sure to click on the link I have included above.  I am sure you will be as delighted by his charm and style as was I.

Happy Day,
Karen Anne

LOL! Stacy, Stacy, Stacy ... in all fairness, I do not a have a copy of his to post (copy right laws, etc.) ... believe me, his is superior!

I did learn a LOT! And in just one lesson ... it is amazing how a bit of blending softens the graphite and provides wonderful natural looking shadows.
